CareRx is looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. This role offers the opportunity to developexpertisein areas such as geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications. The successful candidate will also enhance their accuracy and efficiency in performing final checks related to compounding, compliance packaging, and other prescription fulfillmentprocesses.

Role Accountabilities

Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation,packagingand distribution of patient prescriptions





Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic

Gatherandensure completenessofall necessary information,

Confirm data entry accuracy ineMARand Kroll

Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical productsand ensure final checksare completedfor accuracy prior to theirrelease

Ensuringaccuratedocumentation,maintainingconfidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment

Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to The Team

Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT)

Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset

Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacyexperiencestrongly preferred

Demonstrated computer or work processing skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range
$33 - $36/hour. Actualpay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location
This is in office role at our Burnaby Pharmacy at 8525 Commerce Crtand follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
