We are currently seeking two motivated individuals for the position of Plasma Operator within our Nisku, AB location (701 15TH Ave). This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Plant Coordinator.

Please note - our work workplace is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo pre-employment testing.

Roles and Responsibilities:




Cut and package steel parts as per customer specs
Inspect and measure all material to verify conformance to customer specifications using instruments such as tape measures, calipers and micrometers
Ensure that equipment is operating properly
Ensure all pre-shift inspections are completed
Perform weekly, monthly & annual maintenance on machines
Work efficiently and safely to ensure deadlines are met

Education and Skills Required:
Minimum 3 years experience operating plasma/oxy fuel torches
Previous experience in a steel shop considered an asset
Grade 12 or equivalent
Forklift & Overhead Crane experience an asset
Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / caliper
Reliable
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Must be able to work rotating shifts

Shift Hours: 7-3:30pm, 3:00-11:30pm, 11pm-7:30am (Rotating every 2-4 weeks)

Wage: $30.00/hr to start, $32.00/hr after 3 months
