Support vulnerable clients as a Direct Care Worker at The Salvation Army’s Deborah’s Gate Safehouse. Provide essential case support and therapeutic services to disrupt human trafficking cycles.
This Direct Care Worker role demands compassion and commitment to clients' well-being. Ideal candidates should have experience with domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide case support from intake to discharge
• Maintain accurate and confidential client files
• Offer therapeutic education and support
• Assess and advocate for client needs
• Assist with life skills development and supervision
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education required
• Six months relevant experience in human services
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to train
• Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract
• Strong understanding of women's and children's issues
