About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Environmental Consultant to join their fully remote team, supporting projects that may be located in or around Kimberley . This role involves leading environmental impact assessments, developing environmental management plans, and providing expert advice on environmental compliance for a variety of sectors. You will conduct desktop studies, liaise with regulatory bodies, and interpret environmental data to guide sustainable development practices. The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and communicate findings effectively through digital channels is essential, contributing to responsible development across the Northern Cape .
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Basic Assessment Reports (BARs).
Develop Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and monitoring programs for various projects.
Conduct desktop studies and literature reviews to inform environmental assessments.
Liaise with environmental authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.




Interpret environmental data and provide strategic recommendations for mitigating negative impacts.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for project delivery and client engagement.
Requirements Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on impact assessment and management.
Proficiency in environmental legislation and permitting processes in South Africa.
Experience with GIS software for spatial analysis and mapping is advantageous.
Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage projects independently and communicate effectively in a remote work environment.
