Become the driving force behind research activities at the Secure Isotope Biogeochemistry Laboratory. This full-time position at Dalhousie University focuses on operational management, user training, and laboratory safety.

As a Laboratory Coordinator, you will oversee all lab operations within the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Key responsibilities include managing sample preparations, troubleshooting equipment, and facilitating training for users on advanced lab instruments. Your role ensures the laboratory runs smoothly, contributing to influential research in biogeochemistry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage sample intake and preparation processes
• Operate gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers
• Diagnose and repair instrument errors and malfunctions




• Monitor data acquisitions and perform quality control
• Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with regulations

Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Science with 5+ years of laboratory coordination
• Experience with GC and mass spectrometry systems
• Familiarity with biogeochemistry and data management tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 kg regularly

Lead impactful research in biogeochemistry while ensuring lab safety and effective operations.
