Position Overview:Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is looking for an experienced Service Advisor and “Fly in Doctor” with an expertise in Field Service Support, automotive repair and manufacturing.The Service Advisor will act as the liaison between dealerships, customers and the supplier/manufacturer while effectively diagnosing vehicle service issues and managing repair timelines either remotely or on-site. The successful candidate must be able to effectively organize incoming concerns and communicate the customer’s vehicle requirements so that tasks are executed in an accurate and timely manner. They must also be able to source parts and organize shipments.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform vehicle repairs in house and at offsite locationsAbility to travel domestically or internationally for work if necessaryAssist with diagnosis and supervise repairs remotely at dealerships around the World as a “Fly in Doctor”Comply with relevant local Health and Safety legislation and company Health and Safety PoliciesBe the main point of contact between the company, the dealerships, and the customersIdentify and record any issues related to service and warranty and organize/communicate them in a way that deliverables can be tracked, and closure can be expeditedDocument and summarize activities and status to keep teams and management informedConsult with the manufacturing team regarding necessary repairs or service part buildsDetermine the cost and timeline for vehicle service / repairs and prepare EstimatesDocument incoming repairs photographically and in written reportsSubmission of claims for vehicle/part warranty, shipment expediting, and/or other repairsOrder all parts as required and organize their movement to the intended locations including all necessary paperworkManage,
coordinate and prioritize several activities with flexibility within a quick-paced challenging environmentManaging part number revisions and updating various systems to keep them aligned and current while staying on top of pricing updatesOwning the Service Bill of Materials and maintaining it as required to keep up with changesReviewing and updating Workshop Manuals and other service documentation to capture lessons learned and improve communicationOther duties as defined by the leadership teamEducation and Experience:Must have expert level professional vehicle maintenance/repair and customer service experienceMinimum 5 years in the automotive industry ideally including Dealership Service Department experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to adapt communications to account for sensitivity of informationAbility to understand and exercise cultural etiquette as required when travellingAbility to work in a team-based environment as well as establish and maintain cooperative working relationships between the customers and supplier/manufacturerStrong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills to perform the job successfully and independentlyHighly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointBonus if proficient in CQIS, CAD Software, PTS, OWS, Ariba, SAP, Covisint, MicroCatThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
