The University of Calgary's Dinos Athletics is hiring for a crucial support role within their medical team. As an Assistant Field Athletic Therapist, you will assist with injury assessments and rehabilitation while ensuring athletes are ready for competition. Evening and weekend availability is required for event coverage, and travel to away games is part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain medical supplies and kits for events
• Perform injury assessments and manage treatment plans
• Administer therapeutic exercises for recovery
• Ensure Emergency Action Plans are ready for events
• Communicate athlete status with medical staff and coaches
Requirements:
• Certified Athletic Therapist or CATA member
• Current BLS and EMR certifications
• Proof of Safe Sport Training completion
• Experience with injury management guidelines
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedule
