As a vital leader within the John M. Kelly Library, you'll handle conservation assessments, preventive care, and disaster recovery strategies. This hands-on role requires a master’s degree in Conservation and at least two years of professional experience. Your responsibilities include overseeing conservation programs, advising library staff on preservation techniques, and fostering collaborations with various sources in the conservation field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and oversee conservation programs and strategies
• Perform hands-on assessments and conservation treatments
• Develop and maintain the library's disaster response plan
• Advise on preservation best practices and consult community members
• Supervise conservation workflows and daily operations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Conservation required
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of preservation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
