Become a key part of the Sustainable Workplace Team at General Motors as a Facilities Engineer at the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. Oversee facility engineering support and projects within a 2,300,000 square foot site.
In this onsite role, you will facilitate daily coordination of plant engineering activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. You'll engage with multiple teams to support workspace transformation and improve operational efficiency. Your role is pivotal in managing projects involving contractors, budget, and scheduling within a complex manufacturing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all facilities engineering and project activities
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements and standards
• Support workspace transformation by collaborating with various teams
• Manage facility projects, including budgeting and scheduling
• Communicate safety practices effectively throughout the plant
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years in facilities or maintenance engineering
• Experience managing facility projects with contractors
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and systems
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering documents
