This role involves managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Basic Assessment Reports (BARs). You will develop Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), conduct desktop studies, and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential in contributing to responsible development initiatives across the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for various projects
• Develop Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and monitoring programs
• Conduct desktop studies to inform assessments and reports
• Liaise with environmental authorities for regulatory compliance
• Interpret environmental data to mitigate impacts effectively
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 8 years of experience in environmental consulting
• Proficiency in South African environmental legislation
• GIS software experience is advantageous
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills
