Job Summary & Requirements
The Nursing Resource Unit (NRU) provides staffing support to a variety of units throughout the hospital. This position comes with a comprehensive orientation and the opportunity for on-going skilled growth and development.

As the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the College of Nurses (CNO), and all relevant legislation.

As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:

Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope

Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

Current BCLS

Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession

Functions independently within scope of practice

Computer literacy in current software applications

You will be an ideal candidate for this position if you have:

Sound problem solving, communications (oral and written),



conflict resolution and decision making skills

Excellent organizational skills

Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others

Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service
