Become a Community Support Worker with Island Crisis Care Society in Nanaimo, BC. This part-time position focuses on providing therapeutic support to vulnerable adults every weekend.

Island Crisis Care Society is looking for a dedicated support worker to assist clients in achieving independence. This role requires participation in personal service planning, life skills training, and emotional support for program participants. You will engage in various activities aimed at enhancing client well-being, documenting progress, and contributing to a safe, supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in client assessments and program planning
• Assist with life skills training and personal care




• Facilitate client-focused activities according to care plans
• Provide emotional support to residents and families
• Report any potential emergencies to the supervisor

Requirements:
• Diploma in a human/social service field
• One year recent related experience
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable people
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention training
