Empower children's development as an Early Years Program Worker at Annavale Headstart in Ottawa, ON. This casual position offers a chance to support children aged 0-6 and their families through play-based learning.
In this relief position, you will work across the Annavale Headstart Program and EarlyON child and family centre, providing essential support to families and fostering healthy development. Emphasizing socio-emotional growth, you will apply attachment principles and trauma-informed care while collaborating with families and community partners to enrich children's learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging playgroups for families and children 0-6
• Create protected, developmentally appropriate environments
• Implement nature-based, play-centered activities
• Collaborate with families and community partners
• Provide resources and ongoing support to caregivers
Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent
• 3–5 years of early childhood experience
• Experience with marginalized communities preferred
• Fluency in French is an asset
• Commitment to health promotion and community care
