Description
Are you an experienced Labourer looking for an opportunity to work on a major mine life expansion project? Ledcor is hiring skilled and motivated Labourers to support a significant expansion project near Logan Lake, BC. In this role, you’ll work alongside our piping, welding, fusion, and heavy equipment crews, providing hands‑on support with pipe installation and related construction activities. We’re looking for individuals with experience in pipeline, heavy civil, mining, or industrial construction who are comfortable working in an active construction setting, aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, and take pride in being a reliable member of the crew. Essential Responsibilities
Provide general labour support to pipeline, piping, welding, fusion, and heavy equipment crews
Assist piping and fusion crews with pipe handling, placement, alignment, bolting, and installation
Support crews with the movement and positioning of pipe, fittings, tools, and construction materials
Assist with pipelaying activities and work in and around trenches and excavations
Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators, helping ensure the safe movement and operation of equipment around workers, piping, excavations, and other site hazards
Assist with rigging and material handling activities as directed and within level of training
Install and maintain barricades, signage, fencing, and other work‑area controls as required
Perform hand digging, shovelling, backfill, compaction and other physical construction activities as required
Operate small hand and power tools
Assist with general site preparation and cleanup
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Identify and communicate site hazards to supervisors and crew members
Follow directions from supervisors, equipment operators, pipe crews, and other trades
Maintain Ledcor’s high standards for safety, quality, and productivity
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Labourer on pipeline, heavy civil, mining,
or industrial construction projects
Previous pipeline or piping construction experience is preferred
Experience supporting pipe installation, fusion, rigging, or pipelaying activities is an asset
Ability to understand and follow hand signals, radio communication, and directions from Heavy Equipment Operators and pipeline crews
Experience using common construction hand and power tools
Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, carrying, shovelling, and working on uneven terrain
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and able to provide a satisfactory 3‑year driver’s abstract
Must successfully complete pre‑access drug and alcohol testing
CSTS-2020 Fundamentals or Site Ready BC
Rigging Level 1 ticket
Ground Disturbance Level 2
Must successfully complete all required project‑specific online orientations
Work Conditions
Experienced applicants who reside locally and in surrounding areas will be given priority
Work schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off
Day and night shift opportunities available
Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
Weekly payment of wages
Travel allowance and Living Out Allowance (LOA) provided for those eligible
Compensation
$27.06 - $40.58 per hour
This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site‑based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
