Reportingto theMaintenance Manager, the Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible forinspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of resortvehicles, equipment, and tools.
Thisincludes heavy-duty equipment, fleet vehicles, side-by-sides (UTVs),snowmobiles, lift engines, generators, and small engine equipment such aschainsaws and brush saws. The role plays an important part in keeping ourequipment safe, reliable, and ready for resort operations throughout the year.
KeyResponsibilities Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repairresort vehicles, equipment, and tools
Perform preventative maintenance andtroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Maintain and repair heavy equipment, snowcats, snowmobiles, UTVs, generators, and small engines
Complete maintenance records andprioritize daily work with minimal supervision
Work closely with the Maintenance Managerand resort teams
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shopand work environment
Follow all OH&S;, environmental, andresort safety policies
Assist with equipment maintenance planningand budgeting
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications 3+ years of Heavy-Duty Mechanicexperience; Red Seal an asset
Experience with heavy equipment, snowcats, snowmobiles, and/or resort equipment is an asset
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic,electrical, and track systems
Experience with undercarriages,



frames,implements, and welding is an asset
Comfortable using basic computer programs
Valid driver’s licence
Conditions 4 days on / 3 days off, 10-hour shifts
Must be available to work weekends,holidays, and after-hours when emergency repairs are required
Must be comfortable working outdoors in avariety of weather conditions
Must be physically able to lift and handleequipment, use hand and power tools, and perform manual work for extendedperiods
Personal tools are required for standardwork tasks; a tool allowance is provided
Compensation and Benefits Competitive wage: $41.00/houras per Collective Agreement
