The Opportunity:
We are looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as Child and Caregiver Support Workers to fill Perm positions in the Prince Albert office and area .
In this position, you will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children and their families using the P.R.I.D.E. model and the Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.
You will also:
Develop and maintain open, honest working relationships and encourage teamwork with clients, foster families, biological families, collateral agencies, and colleagues within the unit and community.
Identify, and prioritize referrals for service, develop appropriate intervention plans, consult with professionals as needed, and complete documentation in accordance with skilled practice standards.
Apply knowledge of multicultural beliefs and values, with particular emphasis on First Nations and Métis perspectives.
Apply understanding of poverty, systemic barriers, and socio‑economic issues and their impact on individuals and families.
Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to services and resources, remove barriers to independence, and promote overall well‑being.
While the representation of Indigenous staff within the Child and Family Program Division has been prioritized, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Only those selected for further assessment will be contacted.
This competition will be used to create an eligibility list that will be valid for up to 6 months and will be used to staff current and future opportunities.
