We are looking for a warm, reliable nanny or manny for our soon to be one-year-old daughter. If you enjoy Sabrina Carpenter dance parties, picnics in the park, neighbourhood adventures and dramatic readings of Sandra Boynton books, we would love to hear from you! Edie is an affectionate and curious little girl who is full of beans and personality. She loves music, books, DOGS (!), being outside and exploring everything around her. We are looking for someone caring, playful and dependable who will become an important and trusted part of her life. We are a friendly family in Oakwood Village (non-smoking and no pets). One parent is a faculty member at U of T and the other is a television editor (working from home). We are open to someone starting part-time immediately and moving into full-time hours in November/December.The position will primarily involve:
Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate carePlanning play, reading,
music and outdoor activitiesPreparing and serving Edie’s meals and snacksSupporting her nap and daily routinesTaking her for walks, park visits and local outingsTidying up after meals and activities and doing light, child-related housekeepingOur ideal candidate has:
Previous professional experience caring for infantsCurrent infant and child CPR and first-aid certificationA recent vulnerable sector check, or willingness to obtain oneAt least two recent childcare referencesLegal authorization to work in CanadaKnowledge of infant development, feeding and safe-sleep practicesReliability, positive communication and a warm, engaged approachECE training, other childcare education, or previous long-term nanny experience would be an asset but is not required
