Job Summary

The Grand Theatre is where stories come alive and that includes yours. We’re looking for engaging, service-driven Bartenders to join our Front of House team during our busiest time of the year, from September through January, with paid training. Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS for accurate order entry and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Restock inventory, bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and utensils to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Follow all food industry regulations related to food handling, safety, and responsible alcohol service
- Set up and support private functions and/or special events as needed

Skills





- Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, especially bartending or serving roles
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Square POS for efficient order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse patrons
- Effective time management to handle multiple orders during busy periods seamlessly
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of bartending techniques, drink recipes, and alcohol regulations
- Hospitality mindset focused on creating an enjoyable experience for every guest
- Comfortable with physical activity, including lifting (up to 35 lbs regularly), up to 75 lbs occasionally and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Non-Canadian applicants must have a valid employment Visa and proper documentation authorizing their ability to work in Canada on a part-time basis.
