We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our Front Office team at Chateau Lacombe Hotel. If you enjoy working independently, providing excellent guest service, and have a strong eye for accuracy and detail, this may be a great fit for you.This is an overnight position and requires a adaptable schedule that may include weekends and holidays.PRIMARY FUNCTIONSReporting to the Front Office Supervisor, the Night Auditor is responsible for providing overnight Front Desk services while completing the hotel's daily audit and financial reconciliation processes. This position assists guests throughout the night, processes arrivals and departures, responds to guest inquiries and concerns, and helps maintain a safe and professional Front Office environment.The Night Auditor also verifies and reconciles daily transactions, prepares reports, completes the end-of-day process, and ensures accurate information is available for the following business day.What You'll Do (includes but is not limited to):Provide professional and welcoming Front Desk service to guests throughout the overnight shiftComplete guest check-ins and check-outs and process room charges and paymentsRespond to guest inquiries, requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional mannerAnswer telephone calls and provide information regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractionsReview and verify daily transactions, postings, payments, and account balances for accuracyReconcile Front Office transactions and identify or investigate discrepanciesComplete the hotel's end-of-day and night audit processesPrepare, review,



and distribute daily operational and financial reports as requiredMaintain accurate guest accounts, reservations, and Front Office recordsProcess cash, debit, credit card, and other transactions in accordance with established proceduresCommunicate relevant information and outstanding issues to the incoming Front Office team and managementCoordinate with other hotel departments to respond to guest needs and operational concernsMonitor Front Office and lobby activity during the overnight shift and report safety, security, maintenance, or guest concerns as requiredFollow established procedures for emergencies, guest incidents, privacy, confidentiality, and the protection of hotel and guest informationComplete additional Front Office and administrative duties as assignedWhat You Bring:Previous Front Desk, Night Audit, hotel, or customer service experience is preferredPrevious cash handling, reconciliation, accounting, or financial transaction experience is an assetStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hoursAbility to provide professional and courteous service in a variety of guest situationsAbility to communicate effectively with guests, Associates,



and supervisorsStrong computer skills and the ability to learn hotel and payment-processing systemsAbility to handle confidential guest and business information appropriatelyAbility to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in a busy or unexpected situationPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position requires extended periods of standing, walking, and working at a computer or Front Desk workstation. The Night Auditor may be required to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, or pull items associated with normal Front Office operations.Work is primarily performed in the Front Office and lobby areas during overnight hours.
