This role is central to that mission: the person in this position will help ensure our financial foundation stays solid so we can continue to invest in inventory, people, and the customer experience with confidence.About the RoleSouthwest Marine + Powersports is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a full time, on-site role located in Grand Bend, ON. This position is at the heart of our dealership's financial operations and will report directly to the Controller. This individual oversees day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank and account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, reports, and analyses to support management decision-making and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting support, monitoring internal controls, and recommending process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial workflows.This is perfect for someone who thrives on precision,



reconciliation, and keeping complex moving parts in balance, while also contributing to the bigger picture of financial reporting and internal controls that support our long-term growth.What You'll DoFinancial Reporting & CloseLead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedulesInvestigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and issuesContribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and internal controlsFloorplan & Lender ManagementPayout units as sold and record transactions in accounting system for all floorplan lendersTrack floorplan balances, prepare floorplan payouts for management approval, and maintain monthly interest and ending balance reportingRecord funding from finance deals across Yamaha, Honda, and third-party lendersAccount ReconciliationsMaintain reconciliation of key GL accountsPerform daily cash and deposit verificationReconcile warranty and rebate accounts across multiple OEM partnersEnsure AR/AP/major-unit sub-ledgers remain in balance with the general ledgerAccounts Receivable & CollectionsManage internal and customer AR accounts, reverse finance charges, and coordinate collectionsMonitor internal department AR accounts and employee accountsQuarterly review of parts & accessories purchase discounts for complianceWarranty & Vendor CoordinationProcess and track warranty claims, matching credit/debit memos with service department recordsSubmit co-op claims and track remaining balancesMaintain inventory costing spreadsheets, including cross-border costing for U.S.
