What if your next professional chapter started with us?Shift Available:Night Shift – Sunday to Thursday – 10pm to 6am – Shift Premium $3/hourThis position is starting at $27/hour,
plus shift premium.FUNCTION SUMMARY:The Set-up Operator I is accountable to the Production Supervisor for all activities relating to the set-up of all inspection, labeling and packaging (ILP) equipment, trouble-shooting, mechanical adjustments, and preventative maintenance, in order to meet the company's objectives. These activities will be performed in accordance with the requirements outlined in Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Valuable Manufacturing Practices.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sets up and disassembles all inspection, labeling and packaging machinesTrains new ILP operators on inspection machine, labeling machine and packaging line operationPerforms basic trouble shooting, mechanical adjustments, interventions and preventative maintenance on the ILP machinesReports any equipment problems and process related downtime to the area Lead Hand, Maintenance Technician, and Supervisor and work together to solve themEnsures that the ILP areas run smoothly by informing the area Lead Hand and/or Supervisor when supplies are neededMakes suggestions for improving training programs and ILP area processes and participate in continuous improvement initiativesIn the absence of the Lead Hand,
performs back-up duties and responsibilities as assignedMonitors and reviews system entries, ensure that scanned data is accurateCreates maintenance work orders and requests using the CARL systemReviews batch record entries and assist with audit correctionsEnsures all GMPs, SOPs, and company policies are followedAssists with Q-Note and DIR Investigations as requiredTakes on the role of the Operator as neededFollows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are metObserves and supports all safety guidelines and regulationsDemonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practicesPerforms other related duties as requiredBASIC REQUIREMENTS:EducationHigh school diplomaExperienceA minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment, however 2 years or more of work experience is considered an assetPharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an assetDemonstrated mechanical experience or mechanical aptitudeThe ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environmentWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based for the duration of employment.
