Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP), a member of the Municipal Group of Companies is seeking qualified Concrete Labourers to support construction of renewable energy projects in the Juniper (Fredericton) NB Area. KMLP through membership in the Municipal Group, is firmly embedded in the construction industry of Eastern Canada and as an organization we have been operating in the region for well over 50 years. As part of New Brunswick's transition to renewable energy, KMLP has been awarded a variety of projects in the region to support large scale wind farm development. Our work typically includes a variety of civil construction tasks including road building, water crossings, cast-in-place concrete, pre-cast concrete installation, and various other earthworks.Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Foreman, the Concrete Labourer is responsible for performing heavy manual labour duties to assist with placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on surfaces of poured concrete.Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload and move construction materials around the worksiteCut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete,
using power saw and drillRemove rubble and other debris at construction sitesCut joint/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control crackingPerform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labourBe aware of surroundings at all timesEnsure a protected work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskProtect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilitiesEnsure safety of fellow employeesPerform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And ExperienceAbility to follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisorMust be well versed in construction site protocols, rules, and code of conductAbility to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring the use of independent judgment and actionWillingness to work in a team environmentAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible mannerComply with all safety policies and proceduresAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properlyWorking safely is a condition of employment.Working ConditionsThe Concrete Labourer has a physically strenuous and demanding job. The Concrete Labourer will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects, requiring the use of PPE, Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, and reflective vest to minimize risk on the worksite. The worksite environment for this position is outside in varying weather conditions.
