So if you are looking for an exciting and rewarding co-op work placement opportunity in a fast paced, highly automated, state-of-the-art automotive parts manufacturing facility then apply today!Summary:F&P's welding department consists of a number of automated production lines that uses mainly GMAW robotic processes as well as some Resistance welding technology. This equipment includes a wide variety of robots such as Panasonic, Tawers, Fanuc material handlers, OTC welding systems as well as Yaskawa Motoman. All equipment is PLC controlled using either Omron or Allen Bradley PLC's. Welding also includes a variety of highly automated equipment such as vision systems and the use of laser technology, 350 welding robotic systems and over 400 total robots.



Together these areas offer maintenance staff the opportunity to work on a wide range of highly automated equipment in a continuous improvement work setting.Position Overview:Read schematic drawingsInspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctionsTroubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controlsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsOperate machine tools such as grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineryClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machineryAssemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.Other duties as assigned to ensure up-time of automated production equipment, etcWhat You Need:Currently enrolled in an Electrical, Mechanical or Robotic welding related programHave a basic theoretical understanding of the following:Robotics systems (Fanuc, Panasonic.....)Programmable logic controllers (Omron, AB......)Hydraulic, pneumatic and cooling water systemsStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to read and understand operations standards, blue prints, maintenance and equipment manuals, etc.Experienced with all common office software such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Project)May be required to lift in excess of 40 lbs on occasionF&P Mfg., Inc. Co-op Tiered Rate Program:Successful students for F&P Mfg., Inc. Co-op positions will be eligible for our new tiered wage rate program.Co-op #1 Rate: $23.85 per hourCo-op #2 Rate:



$26.18 per hourCo-op #3 Rate $30.61 per hourUpon successful graduation of their program, candidates will be considered for a direct offer of employment at F&P Mfg., Inc., (if applicable).This program encourages and allows students to continue their subsequent co-op terms with F&P Mfg., Inc. throughout their program of studies to graduation upon receiving a successful and positive evaluation.Disclosure:If a student is on their 2 nd or 3 rd co-op of their respective program and have never completed a co-op program at F&P before, they will be placed into our Co-op #1 rate at $23.38 per hour.
