Murphy Fisheries Ltd and Roderick Murphy & Sons Ltd are a well-established vertically integrated group of family-owned companies involved in the buying, selling, and processing of various species of seafood.We are currently seeking an experienced, full time, detail-oriented Bookkeeper with full-cycle accounting experience.Reports to:



Senior Bookkeeper and Controller.Key responsibilities include:Transactional data entry for multiple business entities and locations; with frequent intercompany transactions.Maintenance of current and accurate information for all modules in Sage 50.Scanning of paper-based forms for digital storage.Preparation of fishing settlements and payroll runs.Account analysis and reconciliation, including all intercompany accounts, clearing and bank accounts.Administrative assistance to fishermen, supervisors, and senior management.General upkeep of the office such as filing and maintaining sufficient levels of office supplies.Other duties as needed.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:A minimum of post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent experience.2-3+ years of experience.Current computer skills.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work well on a team, but also independently in a fast-paced demanding environment where the ability to multi-task is key.Possess excellent organizational skills.Demonstrate a commitment to both accuracy and confidentiality.
