The Unit Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of a medium sized terminal which is measured by the following KPI's: Safety, Productivity, Service and Revenue.Responsibilities Manage a group of unionized employees specifically Linehaul DriversCreate a positive work environment, building employee loyalty and a team atmosphereResponsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard within the GTT linehaul operationsResponsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices within the GTT linehaul operationsImprove operational standards through reviews of employee performance, coaching, counseling and recognitionResponsible for communicating and implementing policy, procedure or programsResponsible for completing a variety of reports and documentsAll other related and assigned dutiesQualificationsStrong understanding of AZ/Tractor-Trailer regulations, laws and industry practicesOperational experience in the transportation/logistics industryMinimum 1-2 years of experience managing large unionized teamsExemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management,
