The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing and reporting quality specimens for analysis. The Medical Laboratory Assistant I primary responsibilities include collection of blood specimens from adults and children using macro and micro phlebotomy techniques, performing ECGs, complete urinalysis, accessioning patient information into the laboratory EPIC computer system, processing samples, transport of specimens and slides, troubleshooting problem specimens and reception duties.This is a multisite position in which shifts will be primarily at WestView Laboratory. Shifts at Devon and Leduc will be only as needed to support operations. Stony Plain, Devon and Leduc are all towns in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region of Alberta, that is surrounded by Parkland County.
