We provide early childhood education and care for children from infancy through school age, with a strong emphasis on nature-based and play-based learning. Our practice is guided by the British Columbia Early Learning Framework (ELF), which views children as capable, curious and full of potential.Position OverviewWildwood is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Program Supervisor to lead pedagogy and program quality across our centre. The Program Supervisor plans and leads ELF-informed programming, supervises and mentors ECEs and ECE assistants, and acts as the person in charge when the Centre Director is absent.This is a hands-on, child-facing leadership role. It combines daily direct work with children, pedagogical leadership of the educator team, and responsibility for documentation and licensing compliance.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPedagogical Leadership and the BC Early Learning FrameworkLead the planning and delivery of emergent, play-based and nature-based programs grounded in the BC Early Learning Framework (ELF)Plan experiences across the ELF areas of early learning: well-being and belonging; exploration and creativity; languages and literacies; and social responsibility and diversityLead pedagogical narration: observe,



document and interpret children's learning, and use it with colleagues and families to inform planningFacilitate regular critical reflection and planning meetings with the educator teamSupport educators to embed Indigenous perspectives, ways of knowing and reconciliation in daily practice, in partnership with local First Nations resources where appropriateEnsure programs meet the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and the centre's curriculum philosophyChild Supervision and CareProvide attentive, responsive care and supervision of children during all program hoursGuide children in healthy routines, including eating, hygiene, rest and social behaviourIdentify signs of developmental, behavioural or emotional concerns and communicate them to families and the DirectorCoordinate with families and community professionals, such as Supported Child Development consultants, to plan inclusive supports for children with additional needsEnsure the physical safety and emotional well-being of all children at all timesStaff Leadership and MentorshipSupervise, guide and mentor ECEs and ECE assistants in daily program deliveryAct as person in charge of the centre in the Director's absence, including managing ratios, staff coverage and incident responseAssist with staff scheduling to maintain licensing ratios and group sizesOrient new staff to centre routines, policies and ELF-based practiceSupervise and evaluate ECE practicum students from post-secondary programsProvide input on staff performance, training needs and program quality to the DirectorFamily and Community EngagementBuild respectful relationships with families and share their children's learning regularlyLead parent meetings, program events and family engagement initiativesAct as the main point of contact for families on programming and child progressDigital Documentation and AdministrationMaintain attendance, incident reports and developmental records using the centre's digital childcare platform (for example, Lillio,
