Job location: Kitchener Operations FacilityPay: $27.71 HourlyGrade/Band: TL1Job Posting Start Date: 9/8/26Job Posting End Date: 11/30/26Job Description:OverviewAs a Temporary Labourer joining the Parks team for our Winter season, you will be responsible for work related to clearing and maintaining sidewalks, facility walkways, multi-use pathways, and parking lots, as well as inspecting city assets.Shift availability includes: Day Shifts, Afternoon Shifts and Night Shifts.(Temporary Full Time for Approximately 4 months)ResponsibilitiesPositions will involve a variety of winter control duties including manual labour organized within the following winter sections:Downtown Sidewalks, City Hall, Market, Victoria Park Outdoor Rink.Hand Clearing - Sidewalks, Facility Walkways, Walkway Steps and School Crossing Guard Intersections. - Inspection of winter rinks, toboggan hills, dog parks and other city assets.City Sidewalk clearingFacility Parking Lots, BMUT's/Multi use trails,



Cemeteries and Representative Route Patrol.Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationMinimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.Additional RequirementsValid MTO "G" class driver's license in valuable standing.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to be trained in the operation of all related equipment and work skills.Available and flexible to work varying shifts, rotational duties, weekends, and overtime as required.Able to perform a variety of duties including manual labour.Ability to participate as an effective team member.Demonstrated communication/customer service skills with an ability to keep accurate written records.Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.Department: INS-Infrastructure Services DepartmentDivision: INS-Parks and Cemeteries Division
