Canada Post is looking for dependable, organized individuals to join their team as Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier, On-call Relief in Princeton, Ontario. This on‑call position offers the chance to work with one of Canadas top employers while serving local communities across the region.
As an on‑call relief carrier, youll be out on the road delivering mail and parcels to rural and suburban addresses, keeping communities connected. Its a role that rewards people who are self‑sufficient, safety‑conscious, and comfortable behind the wheel in all kinds of Canadian weather.
Day to day, youll be sorting, collecting, and delivering mail across your assigned route, making sure every item reaches its destination safely and on time. Youll also get familiar with local roads, customers, and delivery receptacles — building the kind of route knowledge that makes the job run smoothly.
This role comes with real responsibility for mail security and proper handling of Canada Post products and services. Youll represent Canada Post in the community, so wearing your identification visibly while on delivery is a must. Working independently and following safe driving practices in varying weather and traffic conditions is central to the job.

This is a hands‑on, route‑based position where no two days look exactly the same. Youll be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of mail and parcels across rural and suburban areas, while representing Canada Post professionally in the communities you serve.
The ideal candidate is a reliable,
safety‑first individual who takes pride in doing things right. Canada Post values people who are organized, community‑minded, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Preference will be given to Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) or Persons with disabilities as part of a special measure employment equity initiative.
Satisfactory safe driving record (drivers abstract required); valid permanent provincial drivers license class 5 or G; vehicle with minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters), automatic transmission, power windows, metal roof‑top and accessory power outlet; provide and maintain required automobile liability insurance for use of vehicle.
