This initiative is designed to empower participants by increasing their confidence and readiness for employment through customized training and holistic support.The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in the project's success, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure the program meets its objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project, supervising a diverse and dedicated team, tracking outcomes and deliverables, writing reports, and enhancing program delivery through innovative and client-centered approaches.In This Role,



You Will:Provide ongoing coordination and engaging leadership of all aspects of the program including annual program planning, quality assurance and evaluationCoordinate continuous intake and conduct detailed assessments of participants' backgrounds, skills, and employment readinessCo-develop individualized employment and training plans with participantsFacilitate quality training sessions (i.E. English for the workplace, essential skills, digital literacy, employment readiness)Support participants in building confidence, workplace readiness, and understanding of Canadian workplace normsShare current labour market trends and best practices with team membersProvide onsite job coaching to address workplace challenges faced by immigrant womenEngage employers to create sustainable employment opportunities for participantsMaintain detailed program records and participant documentationCollect and analyze program data to assess outcomes and inform program improvementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program quality and alignment with organizational goalsEnsure all program activities are in line with project objectives and contractual requirementsSubmit monthly statistical and written reportsMaintain comprehensive program and participant recordsCollect and analyze data to assess program outcomes and drive improvementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align program delivery with organizational goalsLead consistent program delivery standards and promote team collaborationRecruit, onboard, supervise, and support program staff using inclusive and equitable practicesFoster a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned team cultureMentor and support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and team retentionDevelop tools, resources, and processes informed by client and partner needsBuild and maintain strong relationships with community partners and networksCreate engaging training materials, resources, and promotional content and ensure accurate representation of program activities across various platformsEducation and Skill Qualifications:Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field (i.E., Women's Studies,



Adult Education). A Career Development professional designation or EAL certification considered an assetExperience working with racialized newcomers, immigrant women, or diverse marginalized populations, preferably with trauma-informed and culturally responsive approachesExceptional organizational and program coordination skills, with attention to detail in planningStrong understanding of the challenges newcomers face in labour market integrationDemonstrated experience in delivering employment readiness trainingStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and time management skillsExperience in budget management, accountability, and reportingExperience leading, training, and supervising a teamStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and tasksA proven track record of coordinating with community organizations and employersProficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environmentKnowledge of relevant social service and employment resources in the communityDemonstrated experience in developing, organizing, and facilitating workshopsDemonstrated competency with administrative tasksProblem solving and critical thinking skillsInnovative with the ability to take initiativeProficiency in English; additional language an assetPlease note that all successful candidates are required to provide:A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and clear Child Abuse Registry Check (no less than 6 months old), if 18 years of age or olderAttend Child Safeguarding Training upon hireBackground checks are reviewed on an individual basis – offenses, if any, are based on role and Child Safeguarding requirements, and may not eliminate candidates from employment at our YMCA.Don't Meet Every Single Requirement?We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment, welcoming applications from all qualified persons.
