Our confidential healthcare client is currently seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable Medical Office Assistant to join their busy blended medical practice in Southwest Calgary on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team in a patient-centered setting focused on providing exceptional care and service to patients and their families. The practice provides a range of primary care services, with a focus on maternity and newborn care, women's health, and specialized women's healthcare.Responsibilities:Greet patients and check them in using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients and families in a friendly and professional manner.Schedule and book patient appointments.Maintain accurate and organized patient records.Complete general administrative duties, including filing, faxing, photocopying, and document management.Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming,
compassionate experience for patients and their families.Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the physicians and overall clinic operations.Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.Requirements:Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification.Previous experience using ACCURO EMR is required.Previous experience working in a primary care or medical office setting is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.Strong work ethic and a conscientious, reliable, and professional approach.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace.Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.Compassionate and patient-focused with a positive attitude.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working independently.
