This position is responsible for serving walk in customers and contractors, processing sales orders, completing keying and key cabinet preps, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained and organized. This role is a key customer service role that supports daily operations and contribute to revenue, customer relationships, and new customers.ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and service techniciansProvide product knowledge on doors, frames, hardware, division 10, and related itemsPrepare quotes and process sales order, returns, and credits accuratelyPrepare small estimates for jobs that are ordered through the front counterAnswer phone call inquiries and redirect calls accordinglyBuild solid relationships with repeat customers and service crewsMaintain accurate pricing in the accounting softwareMaintain a clean, organized, professional counter and front-end areaAccurately code front counter orders in the accounting systemKeying & PreparationCut keys accurately according to codes or master key systems.Maintain key machines and key room in clean and working orderEnsure strict adherence to master key system security protocols.Prepare key cabinets and cut job keys as per PM's keying schedulePrepare front counter orders for pick up ensuring everything is labeled and completeRecord keying data accurately in the systemInventory ControlMaintain steady inventory levelsCoordinate inventory use with PM's for project that require products fastConduct cycle counts and assist with full physical inventoryUpdate system inventory when stock is received or takenFlag low-stock items and recommend replenishment levelsOrder approved stock replenishmentsMaintain organized shelves and binsSecondary ResponsibilitiesSupport shipping / receiving during high volume periodsSupport hardware labeling during high volume periodsPerformance ExpectationsMaintain high accuracy in keying, quoting, and inventory countingComplete counter orders with minimal errorsKeep the counter and inventory areas cleaned and organizedQualificationsCounter Sales minimum 2 years preferredPrior construction and door hardware experience is an asset.Experience in inventory management is an assetExperience in construction estimating is an assetExperience with customer service excellence and phone etiquette is essentialAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficientlyJoin us as a Counter Sales Representative and become a vital part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service.
