As a Co-op Accounting Technician, you will assist with audits, bookkeeping, and prepare essential government filings. You will also support monthly and quarterly financial processes, promoting informed decision-making among clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with bookkeeping, audits, and tax engagements
• Prepare government remittances and maintain accounts
• Set up client files and assist with budgets
• Perform month-end and quarter-end closes
• Resolve discrepancies in financial records
Requirements:
• Accounting certificate or bachelor’s degree in commerce
• Entry-level to 2 years of accounting experience
• Familiarity with preparing T4s and T5s
• Knowledge of accounting principles and software
• Flexibility to travel as needed
