QC WELDER / WELD INSPECTORPertinent InformationFull-time, steady day position 6:00 am - 3:30 pm. Weld Inspection role, working closely with team of Production and Custom Welders. Full details to be provided at time of interview.CWB Welding Supervisor Certificate Required.Ideal candidate will have a solid background as a Welder and looking to move into more of Weld Inspector role.Wage: $32/hr + discretionary bonus.Comprehensive advantages package + RRSP match.Location:Kingsville, ON.Job DescriptionThe QC Welder is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inspection and quality control within the facility. This role requires a strong collaboration with fabrication crews to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:Stages work for department as needed.Assists the Production Manager with job assignments as needed.Collaborate with Designers to develop quality control processes and ensure that the team follows established quality procedures.Monitors and controls production process within established specifications.Maintains constant communication with team members.Mentors and trains new employees.Coordinates production with other departments as needed.Works with management to improve production flow.Assists production welders in resolving work problems.Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, verify conformance to drawings and engineering specifications,
and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.Identify and reject nonconforming assemblies, parts, raw material, or components.Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures to determine if work is done according to CWB specifications and provide clear documentation of findings and results.Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.Identify and report any non-conformities or discrepancies and work with Production Manager develop corrective action plansParticipate in investigations of quality issues and assist with root cause analysisProvide guidance and support to manufacturing personnel on quality-related mattersOrganize and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and ensure optimum efficiencyLead team of welders, always demonstrating the utmost professionalismOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma requiredMinimum five (5) years experience in welding/metal fabricationThree (3) years of experience in quality control preferredCWB certificationBasic construction knowledge preferredAbility to read drawings, decipher field reports, utilize excel
