If you enjoy being hands‐on, working alongside crews, and turning safety principles into daily practice, this role is for you.Your Role & ImpactAs a Safety Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our operations—supporting crews, collaborating with project teams, and advancing a proactive, engaged safety culture across our projects. You'll provide on‐site leadership, coach safe work behaviours, and ensure regulatory and COR compliance while supporting the safe and successful execution of our work.This role blends planning, people, and presence in the field, offering you the opportunity to influence safety where it truly matters.What You'll DoLead Safety Where the Work HappensSupport and continuously improve VanPile's HSE programs, procedures, and initiativesEnsure compliance with WorkSafeBC, BCCSA COR, company standards, and project‐specific requirementsDevelop and maintain safety documentation, including project safety plans, hazard assessments,



and safe work plansBe a Trusted Safety Partner on SiteConduct regular site inspections and safety observationsIdentify hazards, assess risks, and work with teams to implement practical controlsProvide hands‐on coaching and guidance to crews and supervisorsSupport the planning and execution of new and high‐risk work activitiesEngage, Educate & EmpowerDeliver site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetingsActively promote a positive, team-oriented safety culture where everyone is involved and accountableInvestigate, Learn & ImproveAssist with incident, near‐miss, and hazard investigations, including root cause analysisPrepare clear reports and recommend corrective and preventative actionsTrack and analyze safety metrics, reporting trends and insights to leadershipServe as a key point of contact for safety‐related concerns on siteCommunicate issues that may impact schedule, cost, or operationsWork closely with project teams, HSE professionals, and subcontractors to resolve safety challengesWhat You Bring7–10+ years of hands‐on field safety experience, ideally in marine, heavy civil, or industrial constructionPost‐secondary education or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent experience)Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety practicesExperience working within a COR‐certified safety management systemSkills That Set You ApartNatural ability to influence, coach,
