The Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) RN/RPN plays a vital role within a patient-focused framework, ensuring quality care for individuals facing moderate to severe mental health conditions and substance use disorders. This role requires at least two years of experience, a valid B.C. Driver's License, and a commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and evidence-informed practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality nursing care using established protocols
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary care planning
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions
• Promote cultural safety and wellness in diverse populations
Requirements:
• Current registration as RN or RPN with BCCNM
• Minimum two years experience in mental health care
• Valid B.C. Driver's License
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
• Strong communication and clinical skills
