Wavelo, part of Tucows, seeks a hands-on Engineering Manager to guide the Platform Foundations team. With a focus on cloud-native architectures and shared UI components, you'll play a critical role in evolving engineering standards. Your leadership will also ensure alignment on reliability practices alongside Operations and SRE teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with engineering leadership to modernize telecom platform architecture
• Own tooling, CI performance, and inner-source models
• Govern UI standards and design systems across teams
• Establish RFCs,



ADRs, and architecture review processes
• Collaborate with Operations on observability and reliability standards

Requirements:
• 5+ years of backend engineering in Golang or similar
• Experience with event-driven architectures like Kafka
• Background in platform engineering, not just features
• Robust DevOps skills in CI/CD and Kubernetes
• Proven experience managing or mentoring engineers
