As a Lead Cook, you will oversee food service operations and manage the Food Service staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. With three to five years of institutional cooking experience, you will provide excellent service in a long-term care facility, supporting the needs of elderly and disabled residents. Your supervisory skills will enable effective training and mentorship of new personnel on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and evaluate food production processes
• Assign and monitor tasks for Food Service staff
• Train new staff on best practices and standards
• Maintain food safety compliance and quality control
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
Requirements:
• Red Seal – Journeyman Cook certification
• 3-5 years of institutional cooking experience
• Food Safety Certificate or equivalent
• Clear Criminal Records Check and tuberculosis screening
• Effective communication skills in English
