Red Deer Regional Hospital seeks an experienced Clinical Educator to implement educational initiatives for Unit 21, specializing in Orthopedics and Urology. Support nursing staff through quality training and clinical development.
In this instructor role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the clinical competency of nursing teams by delivering essential education, including orientation and mandatory training. The Clinical Educator will coordinate resource updates to meet organizational goals while collaborating with leadership on process improvements. This position involves both direct and indirect patient care to foster a supportive learning workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement educational programs for nursing staff
• Conduct mandatory training and clinical skill development
• Collaborate with management on quality improvement initiatives
• Promote evidence-informed practices and policies
• Participate in direct patient care and support staff development
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Minimum 5 years of surgical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
