The Project Director will spearhead the success of the Átl’ḵa7tsem / Howe Sound Marine Stewardship Initiative (MSI). This leadership role requires expertise in grant writing, marine research, and stakeholder engagement. As the PD, you will manage budgets, lead a team, and report directly to the MSI’s Steering Committee while ensuring compliance with MakeWay policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead MSI’s projects from conception to completion
• Conduct grant writing and financial planning for a $250,000 budget
• Supervise and manage program-related expenses
• Maintain collaborative relationships with community stakeholders
• Represent MSI at events and public engagements
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in relevant marine or environmental sciences
• 3-5 years of project leadership experience
• Experience with fundraising and budget management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with the local marine setting
