regulationsA deep understanding and demonstration of safe work practicesA valid driver's license and a clean driving recordKey Accountabilities:Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipmentImplement preventative and predictive programs/assignments for mechanical systemsParticipate in post event analysis and root cause discussions and take part in developing solutionsCommit to adhering to guidelines and maintaining technical and preventative recordsReview and apply a continuous improvement mindset to safe work practices, procedures, and standardsMaintain equipment histories and complete equipment overhaul check sheetsWork collaboratively in a flexible team setting, communicating effectively and partnering with maintenance and operations teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operationsLocation and other Key Details:You will work out of our Baseplant site in Fort McMurray, AlbertaThe shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)This position is safety sensitiveYou will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spacesIf you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.Suncor is committed to providing equal opportunities for employment and building an inclusive, results-oriented and high-performance culture where all members of our team feel safe, valued and respected.
