Job DescriptionUnder the general direction of the Manager, Cage or the Manager, Cage & Count Operations, this position is responsible for distributing, verifying and reconciling floats, completing large cash transactions and monitoring the day-to-day activities of Cashiers. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work workplace for all team members. You will ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures.Key AccountabilitiesMonitors the Cage team; provides input for teammember performance evaluations and objectivesPrepares cage for opening and closing; distributes, verifies and reconciles Cashier floatsVerifies or completes large transactionsDocuments and reconciles cash and cash equivalents; provides reportsParticipates in Cage corporate training; assists in conducting site trainingMonitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activitiesResponds to,
resolves or escalates cage issuesCommunicate effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsBuild strong working relationships with guests and team membersEnsures complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsManage other initiatives as requiredManage the casino float to ensure monetary assets and transactions are accurate and secure.Oversee ticket redemption machine loading and reconciliation, auditing, and tracking sheets.Supervise direct reports, provide instruction and direction as needed.Performs other duties as assignedEducation And Qualification RequirementsHigh School Diploma Previous cage or cash handling experience preferred (minimum 2 years),along with previous supervisory experienceSmart Serve CertificationAbility to successfully obtain a Gaming LicenseAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective andservice oriented communicationWork Environment ConsiderationsRegular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hoursSalaryMinimum Rate (CAD $) | Minimum Salary (CAD $)28.25Job Rate (CAD $) | Midpoint Salary (CAD $)32.46Maximum Rate (CAD $) | Maximum Salary (CAD $)32.46Existing VacancyYes
