Applicants are encouraged to self-declare in their application.Position SummaryThe Early Childhood Educator (ECE), as part of a team of ECEs and Child Care Assistants, is responsible for delivering impact-specific, age-appropriate programming to all the children in the program, using a current understanding of child development principles. The ECE assesses each child's needs and plans and provides programming that promotes positive social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. The ECE fosters a clean and safe environment that encourages healthy interaction and learning.QualificationsEducationECE II or ECE III Classification from the Manitoba Child Care ProgramCurrent Infant/Child First Aid and CPR CertificateSkills, Expertise, and ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience working with/caring for children in a childcare facilityDemonstrated understanding of child development theory and principles and ability to put that understanding into practiceExperience supervising and engaging children throughout the day, during transition, individual and group activities, and free and structured playAbility to use a range of child development approaches, skills,
