Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region.Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.About the OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Technician, Haulingto join our Mount Milligan Mine (MTM) operations site.This role operates on a rotation of 7 days on / 7 days off at a 12-hour daily schedule with camp accommodations provided.Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Hauling Operator(s) will be responsible for operating an Articulated Rock Truck or a Packer in a safe and responsible manner. The operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures.Your responsibilities will include,



but are not limited to:Assist with the operational integrity of the Mining department as required; to achieve safety, environmental, quality, costs, production and continuous improvement targetsPerform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reportsReport unsafe mechanical conditions to a supervisorMaintain good housekeeping practices on equipmentFollow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards and other hazardous conditionsAbout YouThe following will be critical to successfully perform this role:2 or more years experience running heavy equipment or operating a haul truck is preferableAttention and compliance to established safety rules and guidelines is paramountAbility to stay alert and pay attention to detail during all hours and weather conditions encountered during a shiftAbility to safely climb and access equipment, as well as lift heavy objects up to 50lbsStrong leadership/team skills and the ability to work independently as requiredExperience in an open pit mining setting is an assetValid BC Drivers License requiredWorking ConditionsWork involves a camp-based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 7x7, 12 hours per dayCandidates must be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts, up to 12 hours in durationOccasional exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Mount Milligan is a safety-sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a ZERO – TOLERANCE policy,
