Contribute to patient care at South Health Campus as a Therapy Assistant. Engage in direct and indirect support under the guidance of healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal rehabilitation services for all ages.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists. You will deliver essential therapeutic services, monitor patient progress, and assist in rehabilitation practices in acute care settings. Your commitment to ethics and professionalism will enhance both client and team outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in collaboration with therapists
• Assist in the implementation of rehabilitation programs
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and needs
• Engage in reflective practice for personal and team development
• Support quality improvement initiatives in the therapy department
Requirements:
• Diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP)
• Experience in adult acute care environments
• Ability to perform physical tasks with patients
• Background with Connect Care system preferred
