We're looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our unit that truly believes in patient and family centered care as well as working on a unit that strives to be supportive, caring and fun. 4C is a 34-bed medical unit specializing in the care of acute medicine patients. A candidate who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family focused nursing care is required, working to full scope of practice with critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures and supported with the education required for the role. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: 2-5 years acute medicine experience in Canada required.
Preferred Qualifications: PD training and stroke experience preferred.
