Join Assisted Living Alberta as a Community Based Occupational Therapist I, serving the Calgary Zone. You'll provide client-centered care, develop impactful care plans, and enhance independence.
This role on the Adults Team focuses on helping clients achieve their health and self-care goals through a strength-based approach. You will be an integral part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate meaningful occupations. Your responsibilities will include assessment, consultation, and education while actively engaging with clients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop care plans based on client needs and strengths
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to various clients
• Participate in interprofessional team discussions and planning
• Support clients in achieving optimal functional abilities
• Mentor and supervise Therapy Assistants and students
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• 3-5 years of OT experience, including community care
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation
• BCLS-HCP certification within the last 12 months
