Empower individuals in the community as a Community Caseworker with the John Howard Society of Alberta. This full-time role focuses on supervision, support, and service referrals in a hybrid work model.
As part of the CCMS program, the successful candidate will provide essential guidance and assistance to clients released from detention. This role involves detailed case management, relationship-building in ethno-cultural communities, and comprehensive file reviews to ensure community safety and client stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with clients in Canada’s ethno-cultural communities
• Develop release plans that prioritize client stability
• Complete casework documentation and funder reporting
• Provide trauma-informed guidance and crisis intervention
• Facilitate programming for client engagement
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in human services or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in Intensive Case Management
• Familiarity with community supervision practices
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Robust communication and de-escalation skills
