You will be the main point of contact for homeowners, commercial clients, insurance adjusters, and the subcontractors doing the work, so explicit and steady communication matters as much as construction knowledge.Day to day, that means building schedules, preparing Xactimate estimates, negotiating scope with adjusters, and keeping a close eye on budgets and profitability across several jobs at once. You'll know things are going well when projects move through each phase on schedule, clients stay informed instead of anxious, and the numbers hold up at close out.
