Join the Cropping Systems Research Group at AFNS as a Field Research Technician in Edmonton. This temporary position focuses on logistics, field data collection, and team collaboration.The role, lasting one year and one day, is based primarily at Edmonton's North and South Campuses and various field locations in Alberta. You will facilitate field research activities, prepare equipment, and analyze data while maintaining hands-on involvement in greenhouse tasks. Under guidance from senior team members, you will also be responsible for training others on equipment and collaborating with research teams.Key Responsibilities:Enable logistics for field research activitiesPrepare and operate research equipmentCollect and analyze data from various field sitesOperate drones for effective data gatheringLead training sessions for peers and studentsRequirements:Prior data collection and analysis experienceUnderstanding of field research practicesExceptional organizational abilitiesExperience leading teams of up to 10 peopleWillingness to support greenhouse workContribute to notable research projects while enhancing agricultural practices as a Field Research Technician in Edmonton.
